Q & A

Do adjustments hurt?

The majority of the time it does not. If there is discomfort associated with an adjustment it is very mild.

Do poorly functioning joints always cause pain?

No. Often spine and joint related problems are the result of a culmination of many stressors over a long period of time. Dysfunction of the spinal joints may be present long before any significant symptom is evident.

Who can have chiropractic care?

Anyone who has a spine! Our clients range in age from newborns to the elderly

Do I have to have ongoing chiropractic care?

We offer relief, rehabilitation and supportive chiropractic care. Many people find significant benefit to their quality of life through chiropractic adjustments and for that reason they make the decision to be adjusted regularly. The choice will always be yours regarding the type of care you wish to receive.

How long does it take when I come into the practice?

After the initial consultation and report of findings visits, we know exactly where the problems are and how they need to be corrected. The good news is that at subsequent visits most people are in and out of our office within 15 to 20 minutes!

Do we give advice at Warner Chiropractic on postural issues and other causative factors to help prevent reoccurrence of a problem?

Yes.

How often do I need to be adjusted?

Depends on a number of factors such as what the problem is and its chronicity, age of the client and their state of health and their level of participation in their own program of care. Each schedule of care is individually tailored for that person.

I'm pregnant, can I have chiropractic care?

Yes. Chiropractic care during pregnancy alleviates symptoms of back pain and sciatica associated with the postural changes, joint sprain/instability and muscular tension related to pregnancy. Chiropractic care is safe and effective during and after pregnancy. We do not X-ray pregnant clients.

Can babies and children have chiropractic care?

Yes. It is our opinion that it is better to address spinal problems as they occur rather than wait for them to become bigger problems! Chiropractic for babies and children is extremely safe. We do not X-ray babies and we avoid X-rays of children unless it's absolutely necessary.

I have had previous spinal surgery, can I have chiropractic care?

Yes.

How safe is chiropractic?

Chiropractic care is remarkably safe.
